The 2024 Venture Startup Competition, a cornerstone of the Swiss startup landscape, has officially kicked off. This competition, co-organized by ETH, McKinsey & Company, Knecht Holding, Innosuisse, and EPFL, is inviting early-stage startups to apply for its 2024 edition.

The Competition Process
The competition process is straightforward anddesigned to provide participants with valuable feedback and insights. It begins with the submission of adetailed 10-20 page PDF document outlining the business plan. Every participant will receive highlyvaluable written feedback from three different jurors.
The top 10 finalists will be chosenfor the “Finance and Insurance” vertical based on the submitted plans. These startups will get access to theVenture mentors and will also be able to refine their pitching skills byparticipating in a pitch training session held by McKinsey & Company communicationsexperts and investors.
Following a pitch to the jury duringround two, only three startups will be selected from the 10 finalists to moveon. At this stage, each startup hasalready bagged the non-dilutive prize money of at least CHF 10,000.
The competition will culminate in apitching session in front of top-level leaders of established not-for-profitorganizations from Venture’s advisory board.
The Rewards
Participants will receive significantfinancial incentives, including non-dilutive cash prizes totaling nearly CHF600,000, with a Grand Prize of CHF 150,000 plus a MacKinsey & Company consulting package. Winners of the competition gainsignificant exposure in the ecosystem and media, enhancing their visibility. Additionally, finalists benefit frommentorship and training, including pitch training workshops and individualizedfeedback from mentors.
