Hack Winterthur 2026 brought together around 120 participants from diverse backgrounds to develop innovative solutions to real-world challenges within 48 hours. The event highlighted how interdisciplinary collaboration and entrepreneurial thinking turn ideas into actionable outcomes.

From February 6–8, 2026, the ZHAW university library once again transformed into a hub for innovation: around 120 participants came together at Hack Winterthur to develop creative solutions to real-world challenges in interdisciplinary teams within just 48 hours.

The focus was not only on generating ideas, but on rapidly validating and refining them – in true entrepreneurial spirit. Within a short time, initial concepts evolved into tangible prototypes, concrete solutions, and new business models.

This year’s challenges were provided by partners such as Swisscom, SWICA, Raiffeisen Winterthur, and the City of Winterthur. In total, more than 20 projects were developed – ranging from digital health solutions and smart city concepts to innovative approaches in banking and marketing.

Supported by mentoring, workshops, and direct exchange with challenge partners, teams worked iteratively on their ideas and presented them to a jury and audience at the end of the event.

Beyond the final pitches, the event offered something equally important: space for bold ideas, fresh perspectives, and meaningful connections within the innovation ecosystem.

We would like to thank all participants, partners, and supporters for an inspiring weekend – and we are already looking forward to the next edition of Hack Winterthur.

Save the Date: The next Hack Winterthur will take place from February 12–14, 2027.
