Hack Winterthur

The ZHAW university library is a place of knowledge, learning, and a center of innovation. Let's celebrate innovation at the ZHAW university library with a hackathon! It will be held in the library's learning environment from February 6th to 8th, 2026, organized by the Entrepreneur Club Winterthur together with ZHAW.

What is a Hackathon?

A hackathon is an event where interdisciplinary teams develop innovative solutions to real-world problems within a specific timeframe. The term combines "hacking," as we imagine people in black hoodies, and "marathon," which we mostly observe from afar. Nowadays, it's less about programming and more about tackling general challenges non-stop over a few days and then presenting a solution.

Why is it worthwhile for partners?

As a partner, you present our participants with a challenging task. After 48 hours, you will be presented with a solution that you can implement. Thanks to ZHAW and the Entrepreneur Club Winterthur, you will interact with outstanding talents who bring an entrepreneurial mindset. (Who else would voluntarily sacrifice their time for so much work?)

Solve real world challenges from partners like Swica, Raiffaisenbank Winterthur and Swisscom. It is an opportunity to step out of your comfort zone with like-minded people and make an impact.
