Venture Kick provides Swiss startups with up to CHF 150,000 in pre-seed funding, coaching, and networking opportunities through a structured three-stage program, accelerating their journey from science to market.

Venture Kick is a philanthropic initiative launched in 2007 with the vision to double the number of spin-offs from Swiss universities, accelerate their time-to-market, and enhance their appeal to professional investors. The program provides a structured three-stage funding model, offering startups up to CHF 150,000 in pre-seed capital over a nine-month period.

Key Features

  • Three-Stage Funding: Startups can receive up to CHF 150,000 in pre-seed funding through a competitive process:
    • Stage 1: CHF 10,000 grant.
    • Stage 2: CHF 40,000 convertible loan.
    • Stage 3: CHF 100,000 convertible loan.
  • Kickers Camps: After each funding stage, entrepreneurs participate in two-day Kickers Camps, receiving professional guidance on business development and access to a network of successful entrepreneurs, industry partners, experts, and investors.
  • Kick Fund: Upon successful completion of Stage 3, startups have the opportunity to access additional funding of up to CHF 850,000 through the Kick Fund, further supporting their growth and fundraising efforts.
  • Eligibility: The program is open to startups affiliated with Swiss universities or research institutions, aiming to establish their company and create jobs in Switzerland. Applicants should not have received funding from professional investors prior to applying.

By participating in Venture Kick, startups benefit from financial support, expert coaching, and extensive networking opportunities, significantly enhancing their chances of success in the competitive startup ecosystem.
