Zürich’s Health andEnvironment Department has initiated a unique program, KlimUp, to support start-ups and non-profit organizations (NPOs) that align with the city’s goalof net-zero emissions and intelligent resource usage.

KlimUp offers one-time innovation contributions of 35,000 to 250,000 Swiss Francs to early-stage start-ups working on projects that align with the city’s environmental goals. NPOs can apply for one-time project contributions of 5,000 to 100,000 SwissFrancs or multi-year operating contributions of 60,000 to 600,000 Swiss Francs, supporting projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

In its first funding round, KlimUp supported 17 applications, including eight NPOs and nine start-ups, marking the beginning of an exciting journey towards a more sustainable future.
